Almost a decade ago, Hoopsy started in our lounge.
No studio. No professional kit. No grand plan. Just a genuine desire to help people (individuals, hobbyists, and tiny businesses) get beautiful print and packaging without the headaches that usually come with it. No jargon. No scary setup costs. No “sorry, we have a minimum order of 500.”
Just real help, from real people, one customer at a time.
A lot has changed since then. We moved from the lounge to a proper studio. We swapped desktop printers for laser printers, then laser printers for commercial print equipment. Our little ‘Silhouette’ cutter gave way to industrial die-cutting hardware. We even brought family on board to help keep up with demand, which honestly still makes us smile.
But one thing has never changed: every single order still gets the same personal attention it did on day one. That’s not a marketing line. It’s just how we work.
We’ve Been Here Before
If you’ve been following Hoopsy for a while, you might have noticed that this isn’t the first time we’ve changed our look, or even our name. Over the years, as we’ve grown, we’ve updated how we present ourselves to the world more than once. Each time, it’s been a reflection of a real shift in what we do and who we’re doing it for.
And each time, our long-standing customers have come with us. Because the name on the door is less important than the people behind it, and those people haven’t changed at all.
This 2026 refresh is simply the latest growth spurt in a story that’s been unfolding for the best part of a decade.
So Why a New Look Now?
Because Hoopsy has grown again, and our brand needed to catch up. Again.
For years, our visual identity reflected where we came from: the warm, handmade, crafty world that so many of our original customers (and us!) love. And we’re still very much part of that world. But increasingly, we’re also something more.
We’re seeing a new wave of customers finding their way to us. Larger small businesses. Independent retailers. Brands that need proper, professional-quality folding carton packaging, designed, printed, and die-cut entirely in-house, right here in our studio. And perhaps one of our favourite examples of this shift? Our custom die-cut business cards.
More and more businesses and brands are moving away from the standard rectangular card, because when everyone’s handing out the same thing, standing out matters. Our die-cut business cards can be cut to almost any shape, giving brands something genuinely different to put in people’s hands. It’s the kind of product that simply wasn’t possible without the serious kit we’ve invested in, and it’s a perfect example of how Hoopsy has evolved without ever losing the creativity and craft that’s always been at our core.
Whether it’s a card shaped like your logo, your product, or something completely unexpected, we love helping businesses make a first impression that actually lasts.
The Same Journey, a New Chapter
Think of it like our equipment upgrades. Each step (from desktop to laser to commercial press, from hand-cutting to industrial die-cut) wasn’t us leaving our roots behind. It was us growing into our potential, so we could serve our customers better.
This rebrand is exactly that. A step forward. An honest reflection of where Hoopsy is in 2026 and where we’re heading.
And we didn’t go it alone on the design front either. Our brilliant new logo was created by Jen at Little Jen Design, a wonderfully talented local freelance designer. It felt only right that a business built on supporting small and independent should turn to exactly that kind of talent when it mattered. If you’re looking for design work of your own, we can’t recommend her highly enough.
Whether you’ve been with us since the very early days, you found us somewhere along the way, or you’re discovering us for the very first time right now, you’re in the right place. We’ve got the equipment, the expertise, and the personal touch to back it up.
Welcome to the next chapter of Hoopsy. We’re so glad you’re here.
Have a project in mind? We’d love to hear about it. Get in touch, no bots, no call centres, just us.
